Original Ring Thing

This is the real ring Gandalf was looking for. A simple band of stainless steel holds a secret – a secret which could topple regimes . . . of thirsty people. Slip the Ring Thing on your “social finger” (or #4, if you know our Binary Finger shirt) and you are ready to tackle any mob of the “unquenched.” No more searching through your desk drawer for bottle openers. You will always have one when you wear your Ring Thing. And, the Ring Thing is comfortable to wear; this entire description was written while wearing a Ring Thing.

Utilitea Variable Temperature Kettle

If you’ve landed on this page on purpose, there’s a pretty good chance that one of your favorite methods of caffeine delivery doesn’t necessarily include the boiling of roasted and ground beans in water. Don’t get us wrong – coffee is still king of the wake-up juice, but sometimes steeping fermented leaves in hot water is a more civilized alternative. What most folks don’t realize is that tea is a delicate thing – you don’t just throw leaves at a pot of boiling water – there’s subtlety involved, mostly around brewing temperature. See, your typical Assam black Tea needs water in a rolling boil, about 212 degrees Fahrenheit. If you tried to use the same brewing temperature for white tea, though, you’d be left with a less-than-perfect cup. Water that’s too hot leaves an over-extracted bitter brew that’s unpleasant and strong. 180 is optimal, but even that temp is too high for the most green teas. You want something more along the lines of 150 to 175, tops. Watching a boiling pot of water for the perfect temperature is a suboptimal use of your time. You could use a robot or something to make sure your water doesn’t get too hot for your tea of choice. Luckily, this kettle has a built-in thermostat that lets you choose just how hot your brewing water gets before pouring. So, if you’re a tea junkie, and know your rooibos from your lapsang souchong, you’re going to want to up your game to the next level by making your tea at the proper temperature.

Not A Paper Cup

Not A Paper Cup

“In July of 2007, London designer Anya Hindmarch’s “”I’m Not A Plastic Bag”" caused such a commotion that some retail outlets were sold out of the awareness-causing environmentally trendy shopping statement in 29 minutes. The product idea was simple – create a reusable bag and prevent cheapo plastic bags from contributing to ever-growing landfills, or that vortex of plastic in the Pacific Ocean. We’ve got the caffeinated version of that very same product. “”I Am Not A Paper Cup,”" the packaging says. Designed to look like you just stepped out of one of those hip and trendy coffee megachains with a triple grande one-percent two-pump hazelenut no-foam crappuchino with one of their paper-cups. In actuality, you may have made a simple pot of Folgers at home with a blue-packet of sweetener and a glug of milk. Maybe your coffee’s not “”gourmet”" but you can look like you’re drinking some of the expensive stuff. What’s more, you’re able to simply wash and reuse that cup indefinitely. The cup itself is ceramic and double-walled for extra thermo-goodness. Fill the inner chamber with hot water and keep the coffee warmer longer!”

DIY Drinking Strawz

“Liquids are fun outside your body (like swimming in a lake or pre-set grape gelatin) and they are fun inside your body (like Bawls, Jolt, and the occasional Zima – just kidding). But really, the big problem comes when deciding how to make fun liquid get from outside your body to inside your body. Our favorite method is drinking. And when we drink, we like using straws. But sometimes a straight straw is boring. So we combined a few chemicals in a test tube and DIY Drinking Strawz were born. Composed of 44 dishwasher safe components, DIY Drinking Strawz guarantee that liquids get into your body exactly how you want them to. Want to mix drinks? Well, then build your straw to dip into two (or more) cups. Want to share? Then build an extra drinking branch. Want to mix drinks AND share? You can do that too!!! Amazing, ain’t it? And hey, if you want to go nuts and really suck, you can buy more than one set and make a mondo-gigantic straw. You could be the Suck-Meister. Please Note: Colors may vary from those shown. DIY Drinking Strawz Includes 44 pieces: 20 flexible connectors and 24 translucent straw pieces (12 – 5″” strawz and 12 – 2.875″” strawz). The connectors rubbery TPE (which isn’t rubber at all, but a food safe plastic) and the strawz are Polypropylene. Dishwasher safe.”

Cupcake Lip Balm

“We’ve all been there. You want a cupcake (you need a cupcake), but you just don’t have room to eat one. So what do you do? That’s right, you rub it all over you face, hoping to get some of the taste on your lips. Messy, sad, and wasteful. But if you had some Cupcake Lip Balm, you could get that same sensation without compromising your morals. Yes, friends, Cupcake Lip Balm is just what your lips need to be happy. Sure you could slap any old lip balm on for lip protection, but wouldn’t you rather have some that tastes like frosting? Yes, we know you would. Cupcake Lip Balm is wonderful. It fills the cracks in our lips and the cracks in our heart (from not having cupcakes all the time). Cupcake Lip Balm wants to be your friend too. Cupcake Lip Balm Frosting flavored lip balm – for your lips. Makes you infinitely more kissable. Ingredients: Petroleum jelly, mineral oil, Beeswax, Polybutene, Octyl Pamitate, Propylparaben, Fragrance. Dimensions: 2.5″” long tube.”
